After days of rumors indicating that NBA veteran Lamar Odom was missing on a drug binge, speculation turned into reality when a police report revealed to The New York Daily News that the star was arrested Friday morning for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

Odom was pulled over by the police on a Los Angeles highway when the authorities noticed that he was driving about 15 miles per hour under the speed limit in a 65 miles per hour zone. He was driving a white Mercedes SUV, which he was seen driving earlier in the week.

According to The New York Daily News, Odom failed to stop immediately and ended up driving past three exits spanning over two miles before he took an exit and stopped on a street.

The police report said that he showed "objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated." He also refused any other chemical tests, which could be a sign that he was recently using other drugs as it was speculated throughout the week.

TMZ previously reported that Odom has spent the past couple years battling an addiction to crack cocaine. The Daily News said today that Odom's wife, Khloe Kardashian, reportedly tried to stage an intervention for her husband last week but was unsuccessful.

Multiple outlets are reporting that the couple's marriage may be on the rocks as Odom continues to disappoint his family and friends. Reports surfaced during the week that he was holed up in a hotel and was nowhere to be seen.

The former Lakers star was released this morning at 8:30 a.m.
