Beyoncé is set to steal the show at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month with numerous awards, an honor and a live performance.

"Bey is going to be all over the show. MTV is still working everything out, but they want her to open the show with a big production," the Daily News reported, quoting a source.

The 32-year-old singer is also going to receive the video vanguard award, a lifetime achievement honor which was named after and given to Michael Jackson, as well as Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, according to the Associated Press.

Beyoncé has also been nominated for eight awards, which she will likely win, according to E! Reports.

If so, it is the most won by any band or musician ever.

The most won by any artist to-date has been seven by Eminem and Iggy Azalea, according to the Daily News.

One of the nominations is for Video of the Year based on her song "Drunk in Love," which was a collaboration with her husband and also famous singer Jay Z.

The Daily News reported that MTV was begging Beyoncé to perform at the show a week ago.

"Everyone at Columbia is scurrying around to make things happen. But judging by the amount of awards she was nominated for and her past history with the show announcing her pregnancy, it's a pretty safe bet. MTV wants her and they want her solo," a source told the Daily News.

And the news comes at a time when Beyoncé is rumored to desire her career as solo, and the husband-and-wife duo are waiting till after their current collaborative tour to make the announcement.

The Daily Maily's source said the couple has been faking their relationship for some time, but it has mostly been a business relationship, and are waiting till they receive the $84 million anticipated from the tour to act.
