Two new faces will be joining the cast of the ABC's "The View." Rosie Perez and Nicole Wallace have been confirmed as the new additions to the daytime show's cast.

The announcement was confirmed on Thursday, according to ABC News. Actress Rosie Perez and political commentator Nicole Wallace will join the new cast of the daytime show for its new season that will air on Sept. 15.

"Rosie Perez and Nicolle Wallace are the new co-hosts of 'The View' joining moderator Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell," ABC said in a statement.

Perez, 49, is known for acting in movies like "White Men Can't Jump," "Do The Right Thing" and "Pineapple Express." Wallace worked in the Bush administration and with John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign.

"I am beyond thrilled, honored and completely surprised that I've been asked to join 'The View,'" Perez said. "Knowing that I'll be in the company of Whoopi, Rosie and Nicolle, three very smart and engaging women that I have an immense amount of respect for, makes it even more unbelievable. The opportunity to connect with our nation's audience on a daily basis. ... Icing on the cake! Very happy."

Wallace also expressed her happiness at being picked to be part of the popular TV show following the departures of Barbara Walters, Jenny McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd.

"I am honored to join the tradition of compelling conversations that has been the signature of 'The View' for the better part of two decades," Wallace said, according to Deadline. "I have watched 'The View' for many years and now to be seated alongside three women that I have admired is both humbling and incredibly exciting."

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the two additions will join Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell. The show will also have a new studio this coming season and founding showrunner Bill Geddie has been replaced by MSNBC executive Bill Wolff.
