With the build-up, excitement  and curiosity for more details about "Avengers: Age of Ultron" at an all-time high, one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's stars is giving its loyal fans a piece of the pie by dishing more about the film.

In 2012 in an unprecedented event, Joss Whedon merged the powerful forces of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and Hulk together. So how can you top that off in the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron?" Add two of the most treasured characters in the Thor franchise: Loki and Heimdall.

In a recent interview with The Guardian, "Thor" and "Thor: The Dark World" star Idris Elba reveals that both he and Tom Hiddleston will be appearing in "The Avengers: Age of Ultron," Cinema Blend reports.

Elba reportedly told the The Guardian that he had just been filming something the day before for the "Avengers" sequel, and dished on "some vague details about what he will be doing."

He told The Guardian: "I'm doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they're like, [whispers] -- 'Aren't you [meant to be] in Ibiza?'"

"The actor is referring to his latest stay in the Spanish island Ibiza, where he's been raising his family and producing his album, 'Mi Mandela' -- inspired by the research done for his performance as the late South African leader," IGN reports.

The Golden Globe-winning actor has appeared in "Pacific Rim and "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom."

Elba plays Heimdall in the "Thor" movies and serves as the gatekeeper to Asgard. "It is his responsibility to both help transport individuals to other realms and also serve as the first line of defense against any unwanted intruders," Cinema Blend adds.

What role will Heimdall play?

"If he is involved, it presumably has something to do with Thor returning from Earth back to his home world - which is being ruled by Loki disguised as Odin (Anthony Hopkins), as shown in the final scene of 'Thor: The Dark World,'" Cinema Blend projects.

And Loki?

"While I'm almost certain that Marvel Studios is not going to be happy with Idris Elba and his loose tongue, it's interesting that his reveals sync up with some of what Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige was talking about at last week's big presentation," Cinema Blend adds. "Feige said that the upcoming Thor sequel, Thor: Ragnarok, would be picking up immediately after the events of 'The Avengers: Age of Ultron,' and what Elba is describing could be the link between the two. Presumably that means that this is going to be a post-credits scene -- which would explain why it is happening so longer after production on Avengers 2 has wrapped."

"Avengers 2" also stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, among many others.

The highly-anticipated "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
