The Country Music Association Awards shows was held Wednesday night, and the night’s biggest announcement wasn't about an award or a scandalous incident. Instead, it was the revelation of the gender of Carrie Underwood’s baby.

During the awards ceremony, held in Nashville, singers Underwood and Brad Paisley took the stage as the show’s hosts, according to the New York Daily News. Underwood is currently pregnant and married to NHL player Mike Fisher. T

he couple had previously not revealed the baby’s gender, but Paisley brought the matter up during the ceremony.

"We're pregnant," Paisley said.

"Brad, I don't remember you being there," Underwood said.

"Can you please just tell me what we're having?" Paisley said.

Underwood then whispered the baby’s gender to Paisley, who then happily said, "I'm so happy! I know something y'all don't know."

However, the singer did not keep his secret for long. When talking about singer Garth Brooks, Paisley suggested that the baby should be called Garth, surprising his co-host.

"What are you doing?" Underwood said. "What's wrong with you? You gotta be kidding me. You kept that secret for a whole two minutes, hashtag Brad blew it."

To add insult to injury and further confirm the baby’s gender, Paisley tweeted the photo below alongside Garth Brooks.

Underwood announced she was pregnant with her first child in September via social media, according to Hollywood Life. The 31-year-old singer married her hockey-playing husband in 2010.

Aside from having her baby’s gender revealed, Underwood performed her new song “Something in the Water” and was well-received by the audience.
