Pedro Fernandez's sudden departure on "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" made many believe that Televisa would no longer work with him. The singer has since cleared up these rumors.

"My relationship with Televisa has always been good and on good terms, very respectful," he said according to El Universal. "My career has always had something to do with the empire, and I imagine that's how it will continue."

Fernandez, who left the TV show because of his health, has had to fight rumors that his wife gave him an ultimatum because she was jealous of the love scenes between Fernandez and co-star Marjorie de Sousa.

However, Fernandez has consistently claimed he left because the intense work schedule was taxing on his health.

"The truth is that I feel much better," he said. "I have plenty of time to recuperate, and I think the decisions that I made were the right ones because it's very important to take care of yourself and realize you are not a machine."

Although he has never cleared up what was happening to him, it was previously reported that Fernandez lost a lot of weight. He was supposedly the same size as when he was as a 15-year-old, and it all happened without the actor changing his diet.

Fernandez said he never said it was a health issue. Instead, he said that his doctor had suggested that he take some time off.

"At no time was there talk about sickness," he said. "My first statement was that my doctor instructed me to rest. For respect of my fans, I made this decision. It seemed unprofessional to continue with a project where I wasn't going to be 100 percent."

Fernandez also doesn't understand how rumors of his wife being jealous started. He said he hadn't faced rumors like this in other telenovelas he worked on.
