Chelsea Clinton said she is finally going to give her mother what she has always wanted -- a grandchild.

Speaking to Glamour Magazine, Clinton said she discussed having children with her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, whom she married in 2010. The idea of moving forward with having children was sparked by the death of Clinton's grandmother, who was Hillary's mother.

"We sat down and said, 'Here's what we want to do.' The first thing on the list was simple: We want, God willing, to start a family. So we decided we were going to make 2014 the Year of the Baby," Chelsea said.

Chelsea said her mother has been asking her repeatedly when the day would come that she could have a grandchild of her own.

"Call my mother and tell her that. She asks us about it every single day," Chelsea said.

Chelsea was working on Wall Street while completing her master's degree at Columbia University. She eventually quit her job and now serves as the chair for the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation.

Former President Bill Clinton has stayed active in the political realm as of late. He has made statements supporting President Obama and the Democratic Party while attending functions at the same time.

Hillary, on the other hand, has finally enjoyed a bit of time off following her term as Secretary of State but has made speeches in the meantime. She has not yet declared whether she will run for president in 2016, but the polls indicate that she would be a favorite as of now. A recent CNN poll found that 65 percent of Democrats and independents are in favor of Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee in the next presidential race.
