Ashton Kutcher appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Friday and sparked rumors about Charlie Sheen returning for the "Two and a Half Men" finale, reports Huffington Post.

Kutcher talked with DeGeneres about the show's upcoming last episode.

DeGeneres asked if Sheen would be making an appearance, to which the 36-year-old actor responded with an awkward facial expression and silent shrug.

"I didn't say anything," Kutcher said. "If you're working in the Warner Brothers lot, if there's sirens, come save me."

Kutcher's reaction has prompted most to believe Sheen will take part in the finale.

Sheen, 49, was fired from "Two and a Half Men" in 2011 after the show's producers deemed the actor a self-destructive, sick addict who scorned anyone who tried to help him, People reports. Sheen countered by calling his firing "very good news" and verbally attacking his former boss, co-creator Chuck Lorre.

It's said that time heals all wounds, and that seems to be the case as earlier this year Sheen told Extra he would return to the show if asked.

"I would definitely do it, yeah, yeah," he said. "If they'll still have me, I will be there. Yeah, I owe it some measure of closure. I owe it to the fans ... I just think it makes sense."

UPI reports that Sheen also told TV Guide in September that he contacted Lorre about his character Charlie Harper returning for the series finale.

Exactly how Sheen would reappear on "Two and a Half Men" is anyone's guess. Show runners killed off the Charlie Harper character following Sheen's very public firing. Kutcher also replaced him as lead. The permanence of Sheen's exit from the show doesn't leave much room for a return.

Currently, the "Anger Management" star is filming a pilot for the female-themed cable network WE tv called "Charlie Sheen's Bad Influence," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Sheen will test couples to see how well they know each other. He is also one of the pilot's executive producers.

The "Two and a Half Men" finale is scheduled to air on Feb. 19.
