Ariadne Diaz and Jose Ron will reunite for a carnival taking place in Merida.

TV Notas reports that it will not be an awkward meetup for the former couple. The two have managed to remain friends, and the festival, which runs between Feb. 11-18, is a work engagement.

Ron's girlfriend, Iran Castillo, is also not worried about this encounter.

"Thank God he is being given many carnivals, and I am happy for him and I enjoy it," she said. "It doesn't worry me or bother me because they are friends. In my understanding, they ended on good terms, and it's cool that they can all of a sudden come together and they get along well."

Castillo said she also came across Diaz recently, and everything was fine. She explained that the two spent a lot of time together when they were doing "Grease" a few years ago.

Recently, Diaz talked about how much ex-boyfriend Ron influenced her.

"The most intense scenes I have done in my life I did with Jose, and it was because of the trust that existed between us," she said, according to TV y Novelas. "With that trust and affection you can accomplish things that are unlike what would have happened with another actor."

Diaz also had to clear up rumors that she harbored ill will toward her ex-boyfriends. She had been asked if she would ever participate in any of her exes' wedding ceremonies, and Diaz said no one she had dated was married. When reporters asked if she was guilty of performing witchcraft, Diaz jokingly said she was, she explained in an "El Gordo y la Flaca" interview. She also said that she is very happy without a boyfriend.

"It's been a year that I don't have a boyfriend," she said. "Rightfully, one of my resolutions this year is to not waste time on foolishness."
