Following the terrible car crash over the weekend involving Bruce Jenner and that led to the death of one of the drivers involved, it has been revealed Jenner is taking hormones. It has been rumored lately that the former Olympian and ex of Kris Jenner is transitioning to female.

According to sources that spoke with Radar Online, Jenner revealed to the LAPD that he is taking hormones. He told police and medical staff when he was taken to a hospital for a blood test following the deadly crash.

"He was taking very low dosage of hormones that his doctor had prescribed," the source said.

The source added he was taking the hormones to grow breasts ahead of his alleged gender reassignment surgery. Hospital staff had asked him whether he was taking any medication before drawing his blood.

"There is no suggestion that the hormones were a contributing factor in the tragic accident," the source added.

After the crash, Jenner voluntarily agreed to a field sobriety test as well as blood test at a nearby hospital. The source said he was calm but upset and kept asking about the victim hurt. However, he continued cooperating.

"Bruce has nothing to hide, and was very cooperative with cops, and appreciated their professionalism," the source added.

Page Six reports the police do not believe hormones could have affected the situation or triggered it in any way.

"They don't [even] screen for hormones since it's not considered a factor in motor collisions," said Sheriff's Deputy Eric Hoffman.

When asked, however, Alan Nierob, Jenner's publicist, said he did not know whether he was taking hormones. He did deny his client was texting at the time.

Jenner has said he is turning over his phone records to police, according to TMZ. A photo taken before the crash shows Jenner smoking a cigarette not texting.

Police will piece together what happened leading up to the crash, according to the Los Angeles Times. The police also found the victim, 69-year-old Kim Howe, was driving with an expired license.
