Harry Styles and John Legend have reportedly registered a brand new collaborative track titled "I Wasn't Ready."

A snapshot of the newly registered track surfaced online, and the music database ASCAP (The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) credits the One Direction heartthrob, as well as the Grammy-winning artist:

While Liam Payne worked on seven songs with Juicy J, and another 1D bandmate Zayn Malik spent quite a lot of time with Naughty Boy in the studio, Styles previously wrote "The X Factor (U.S.)" duo Alex & Sierra's debut album track "I Love You" with Legend.

"Our favorite [song] is one that Harry Styles wrote with John Legend, it's beautiful and lovely," Sierra told The Mirror last year. "[Harry] is actually an amazing writer, he's pitched us a few other good ones and they're really good. It's a testament to Harry's talents that he can work alongside John -- who is, without doubt, one of the most gifted songwriters of a generation," a source added to the publication.

The "All of Me" hitmaker's manager is apparently the one who brought the duo together after running into the "Steal My Girl" crooner at an event.

"We got together for a few hours and wrote what I think is a really lovely song," Legend told The Sun (via Hollywood Life) in March 2014. "I'd love to write with him again as he is a very great guy and very talented. He has some really great lyrical ideas and is a very good songwriter."

At the time, fans were worried that Styles' project without his bandmates would lead to his solo career.
