Previews of the next episode of "Empire" reveal that things will get interesting as Cookie and Lucious maintain a secret love affair and Jamal confides in a new, gay friend.

There will be more drama in the Lyon's family in Wednesday's episode, entitled "The Lyon's Roar," which will be about building the Lyon legacy, notes Carter Matt. Although the family is often at odds, the men will reunite long enough to record an album together.

The synopsis also teases that Jamal may disclose surprising news about his daughter.

"It's time for the Lyon family to come together and record a legacy album with Lucious, Hakeem and Jamal. Cookie and Camilla (guest star Naomi Campbell) finally come face-to-face, Andre struggles with some inner demons and Jamal steps into the spotlight with news that surprises everyone in the all-new "The Lyon's Roar" episode," reads the synopsis, according to Wet Paint.

A sneak peak also suggests that Jamal may move on with another guy now that he and Michael are broken up. He will catch the eye of Ryan, the filmmaker working on Lucious' documentary, played by "The Originals" star Eka Darville. In the clip, Ryan asks Jamal out for a drink. Jamal agrees, but warns him not to let Lucious find out that he is gay. However, Ryan doesn't seem to be phased by the threat of being fired over his sexuality.

"Honestly, if you really want to keep your job, you should not let my dad find out about how you are," says Jamal.

"Thanks, but your dad is lucky to have me doing his little vanity doc, so if he has a problem with me, then he can kiss my a--," responds Ryan.

"Empire" episode 1.6, "Out, Damned Spot," will air Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 9 PM EST on FOX.
