Microsoft launched the Xbox One on Friday, but like most launches, it came with its share of technical issues

Since its launch, many owners have reported experiencing problems with the Xbox One's disc drive. According to gamers, the console makes loud noises when a disc is inserted. Other gamers say that their console does not read discs at all.

Gamers have contacted Microsoft's Support Forum, Reddit, and gaming news website Kotaku, which has received over 150 complaints, PC Magazine reports.

According to Microsoft, however, this issue has only affected "a very small number of Xbox One customers."

"We know that with a hardware launch of this magnitude customers will have questions, and we have many avenues for customers to get the answers they need and get back in the game as soon as possible," Microsoft said in a statement. "Rest assured we plan to take care of our customers. Any customer who believes they are experiencing an issue with their Xbox One should reach out to us through Xbox Support."

Despite this problem, Microsoft's launch of the Xbox One was a success. In less than a day, over 1 million Xbox One video game consoles were sold in the 13 countries in which Microsoft launched the system, Bloomberg reports. Eight additional countries were originally scheduled to see the debut of the Xbox One on Friday but did not due to production issues.

"Xbox One is now sold out at most retailers," Microsoft said in a release. "We are working to replenish stock as fast as possible to meet the unprecedented demand from our customers."
