In an interview with FOX411 on Thursday, "House of Cards" star Kevin Spacey said former President Bill Clinton loves the Netflix political drama and is impressed with how much their show gets right.

When asked what has been one of the most surprising comments he's received about the show from someone in politics, Spacey said (impersonating President Clinton's voice), "I love that 'House of Cards.' It's so good."

Clinton told Spacy 99 percent of what the characters do on the show is real.

"The 1 percent they got wrong is you can never get an education bill passed that fast. He didn't actually say that, but I told him that I'm saying that as if he did," Spacey said.

Clinton and Spacey have become good friends since the show began in 2013. The New York Times reported in February that before Spacey got into character as Francis Underwood, the fictional congressman in "House of Cards," he liked to imitate Clinton.

"We, in fact, have spent so much time together that sometimes I even become him," Spacey said last fall onstage at the 10th anniversary of the William J. Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.

"I'm from a place called Hope," Spacey said as he feigned Clinton's Arkansas accent, which sounded similar to Underwood, who originates from South Carolina.

Clinton joined Spacey onstage with a big grin, delighting in the actor's impersonation of him. He put his arm around Spacey.

Spacey, a Democratic donor, met Clinton in the White House during his first term. The two industries of politics and entertainment often develop friendships of convenience, but reportedly the two men have a genuine bond. They kept in touch and grew closer as friends in Clinton's post-presidency. The men collaborate often on philanthropic work.

If viewers look closely at the décor in Underwood's office on "House of Cards," they'll discover a photo of Spacey and Clinton at dinner together using their BlackBerrys.
