"Hart of Dixie" creator Leila Gerstein took to Twitter to write about the "final" episodes of the CW hit series implying that there might not be a fifth season.

She tweeted on March 6, "The final three episodes of #HartofDixie begin tonight. Buckle up, I think you will enjoy the ride. Xo."

"No one out there loves #HOD more than me," she continued to tweet. "I would have gone 17 years! But I assure you, we prepared for this...And the finale will be tremendously satisfying to all."

According to Gerstein's tweets, it seems that "Hart of Dixie" will end after the Season 4 finale on March 27.

Yet, there has been no formal announcement from CW about the show's cancellation.

E! News spoke to Gerstein ahead of the Season 4 premiere. She said, "Well, I can't speak to that, as the decision to renew or cancel is out of my hands."

The "Hart of Dixie" creator continued, "I can tell the fans that this season is for you and you're going to love this season. No one is going to feel unsatisfied by the end. Obviously we hope for many, many more seasons but everyone will be happy with this season."

Gerstein added, "I will say that there is a lot of closure in the season finale and there is a definite feeling of celebration at the end of the season."

She continued, "Everyone is going to be satisfied that by the end of the 10 episodes, all the central love triangles have been resolved, all the central questions have been answered and we're going to have a lot of fun along the way."

Episode 9 of Season 4 will air on March 20 ahead of the season finale, Latin Post reports.
