Iggy Azalea finally explained why she had to postpone her first-ever headlining tour, "Great Escape."

The Australian emcee's upcoming trek supporting her debut studio album "The New Classic" was originally scheduled to kick off on April 14. In an interview with 97.1 AMP Radio earlier this week, she revealed the reason for the delay.

"It is bumped back because I am a psychopath," she said. "It is my first arena tour, so it's a big undertaking and I'm doing a lot of the creative direction, which I do for everything. It's tough when it's your first time working on an arena situation."

Also, the stage for Azalea's live concerts could take up to 6 months to build - which would not be finished by the original kickoff date.

"My tour would have been April; we have not started building -- that is not 6 months, that is very tight," she continued. "So to get this stage done in time, I would be making a lot of sacrifices, and cuts and changes and compromises would have had to be made to get this thing done in time."

"And so I really considered what I do I want to do -- keep and honor these dates for my fans, but have not the show that I envisioned and kind of promised them a lesser version of it... Or do I want to move it and have the absolute best show, the show I envisioned," she added. "And obviously, I've chosen to move it and have the show I envisioned."

As a result, two opening acts Nick Jonas and Tinashe will no longer join the "Fancy" hitmaker on the forthcoming shows, as they announced on Twitter:

Iggy Azalea's "Great Escape" tour will now kick off in September in San Diego, California. Listen to her interview with 97.1 AMP Radio below:
