Some sad news in the world of entertainment: a California judge has finalized the divorce between actors Diane Lane & Josh Brolin.

According to ABC News, the pair were married for more than 8 years before they initially filed for divorce in February of this year. The final divorce decree was entered into on Wednesday. The couple, who have no children together, also didn't release details of their financial settlements.

TMZ was the first website to report the couple's breakup, according to USA Today. Even though Diane -- who was the star of such films as "Unfaithful" and "Under The Tuscan Sun" -- took Brolin's last name, she will no longer use it. Brolin, who is the son of actor James Brolin, is also an actor in his own right, having starred in such films as "No Country for Old Men." Diane has released a statement saying that the couple are splitting up due to irreconcilable differences.

But, according to the New York Daily News, there are other reasons for the split. Amongst them: Josh's alcohol problem. He recently had a relapse, and checked into a rehab facility last month. This addiction to booze has caused more than just marital problems for the actor -- he's been repeatedly involved in bar fights, and even fought with a cab driver outside of a Taco Bell drive-through. But Josh claims that those days are over. "I realize that I need help and I'm committed to sobriety," he said. "It won't be happening again. I'm completely done with alcohol."

Of course, it looks like he's completely done with his marriage, too. Do you think that there's any hope for couples in Hollywood -- do you think that actors can ever be successfully married for an extended period of time, or are the pressures of their career too much for them to handle on top of their marriage?
