Rapper Gucci Mane has been indicted on gun charges.

On Tuesday, the Atlanta U.S. attorney's office said that Gucci Mane will be charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon. According to prosecutors, the rapper was indicted by a federal grand jury on Nov. 19, the Associated Press reports.

Authorities claim that Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis, was found in possession of guns two different times. Prosecutors allege that the rapper was in possession of a gun on Sept. 12. By Sept. 14, he was allegedly in possession of yet another gun. Prosecutors also claim that Gucci Mane acted violently during both incidents by threatening people and acting irrationally.

Now, Gucci Mane is facing federal arms charges. He has been in the DeKalb County Jail since Sept. 14. It is not yet clear whether or not the rapper will go into federal custody.

Gucci Mane is represented by lawyer Drew Findling. Findling said that he is currently reviewing the case before deciding his next move. Their next court appearance will take place at the federal court hearing in early January.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that if convicted for both counts, Gucci Mane can spend up to 20 years in a federal prison, as well as fines as high as $500,000.

Gucci Mane is 33-years-old and is already a felon.

The Atlanta native rapper has a history of not getting along with the law, Rolling Stone reports. Earlier this year, the "Freaky Gurl" lover attacked a soldier with a champagne bottle at a club in Atlanta. In 2011, he pushed a woman out of a moving vehicle and was sentenced to six months, but only served three months. In 2005, Gucci Mane was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault. That same year, he was also convicted of possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana.
