Former "16 and Pregnant" stars Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra remain close to the daughter they put up for adoption during episodes that aired on MTV more than five years ago.

According to E! News, the couple also maintains a close relationship with Carly's adoptive parents.

"Our relationship with Carly and Brandon and Teresa is really good," Lowell recently told E! News before the premiere of "Teen Mom OG." She later added, "You definitely see us this season have a huge conversation with them where we all sit and talk about things. I think that helped a lot. It was definitely an intense moment but our relationship is still very open."

Some recent reports speculated Lowell and her current fiancée were having trouble communicating with Carly's parents. Over the weekend, she took to social media to assure her fans nothing could be further from the truth.

"All the crap of ppl saying that Carly's parents are taking away communication from ty and I are all lies," she posted on Twitter. "Don't always believe what u read."

She later told E! News, "We talk and we get to see her. We get pictures, and I text her all the time so it's still definitely very open."

Another thing Lowell assures is close to happening is Carly having the chance to meet her younger sister, Nova. The meeting may even take place before "Teen Mom OG" wraps this season.

"I'm not sure if it will be on the reunion show," Lowell said. "I don't know if they'll be able to come or not or if it will be on our next visit. We'll have to see how that works out."

New episodes of "Teen Mom OG" air Monday nights at 10 p.m. on MTV.
