According to the Washington Post, the controversial photo presents the three political personalities all smiles for a smartphone capture as the US First Lady Michelle Obama is staring into something to a distance. News.com.au wrote that just as when the trend is high for how it is to take selfies with proper etiquette, here comes world renowned leaders taking pictures of themselves while attending a memorial service of a big icon.

As for the positive side of things, many political analysts praised the US President for shaking hands with Cuban leader Raul Castro and once again delivered a highly moving speech. The shaking of hands of Obama and Castro was seen as a good step in setting aside grievances of the past, CTV News reported.

US President Obama also exchanged cheek kisses with Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and greeted Afghan President Hamid Karzai.
