Lil Wayne has reportedly dropped his $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money Records and its CEO Birdman. This only brings more attention to Lil Wayne's highly anticipated album, "Tha Carter V," and whether or not it will be released sooner.

During his performance in Jacksonville, Florida, on April 2, the New Orleans emcee made an announcement to the crowd saying he has two new records to drop in the near future.

He explained that "Free Weezy Album" and "Carter V" were both coming soon. He then went on to diss his current label.

"F**k Cash Money," he added.

While his last statement clearly made fans believe that the beef could never be squashed, Wayne has allegedly withdrawn his lawsuit, which was filed over two months ago.

According to TheJasmineBRAND.com, the case was dismissed "without prejudice" on April 6, which means the "Believe Me" rapper could re-file if he so chooses. Check out the legal documents here.

In addition, T-Pain recently discussed the possibility of a collaborative project with Weezy.

In an interview with Global Grind, the auto-tune pioneer revealed that despite issues with timing, the "Grindin'" rapper still wants to make a joint LP with him.

"Every time I try to do the T-Wayne album something's going on with Wayne," he said.

He explained that the timing didn't seem right at the moment of the interview. And he said that it is seemingly never a good time, and that he does try to work things out, but it always falls through.

"He's still with it," he added. "He still sends the songs back and forth and stuff like that. But he don't really want to release anything because of the situation."
