Who knew there would be this much drama in the jailbreak community?

Within the 24 hours following the sudden iOS 7 jailbreak release, several questions had been raised about topics ranging from piracy to the app store known as "Cydia."

Shortly after the jailbreak release, Cydia developer Saurik was seen commenting on articles and sending tweets in which he described that he was left in the dark about the jailbreak release despite the fact that most people expected him to be one of the key components of the new release. As it goes, it turned out that the Evad3rs formed a new relationship with Chinese App Store Taig.

As the rumors swirled and speculation arose, the Evad3rs proceeded to post an open letter to the jailbreak community in order to clear the air about the situation.

"Many of you have also wondered why this jailbreak was released without Cydia and MobileSubstrate being updated for iOS 7. After we received the offer from Taig, we informed Saurik, our friend, of our decision to accept the offer."

Soon enough, the relationship between Saurik and the Evad3rs seemed to have taken a turn for the worse.

"We received information that SaurikIT was working with another group to release a jailbreak ahead of us. We decided to release, knowing that Cydia, MobileSubstrate, and jailbreak tweaks would be updated after a few days, just as it always has in the course of jailbreaking."

Among other things addressed in the letter included the topic of piracy after it seemed that some jailbreakers became victims of this problem.

"We are very upset that despite our agreement and review by their team, piracy was found in the store," the Evad3rs wrote. "It was not acceptable and they have been strenuously working to resolve the problem in good faith, and have removed all instances of it that we have brought to their attention ... Taig will be pulled from the jailbreak if it cannot be resolved."

A great deal of iOS fans were desperate for this jailbreak ever since the new operating system was released by Apple in September The launch was right around the same time as the iPhone 5s and 5c releases and the tech community soon started wondering when there would be a release.

Considering the issues between the Evad3rs and Saurik, who knows when the hacking group initially planned to release the jailbreak? Perhaps it would have been easier for them to release in the new year. Nevertheless, tech fans were in for a real treat and an early holiday gift from the Evad3rs.
