It seems that the split of Tiger Woods with Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn was not because of their busy schedules as reports circulated that Woods cheated on her girlfriend of three years.

The split surprised many as both the golfer and Vonn were seen looking sweet and totally smitten with each other just a week before the announcement was made.

The 30-year-old skier revealed last week that they have separated ways via a status update on her Facebook page. Vonn claimed that the reason was because they have "incredibly hectic lives" that are focing them to be away from each other most of the time.

Woods confirmed the split on his website soon after. "I have great admiration, respect and love for Lindsey and I'll always cherish our time together. She has been amazing with Sam and Charlie and my entire family," the 39-year-old said.

The golfer echoed Vonn's reason of have hectic lives and further that they had difficulties finding time for each other.

More than a week since they announced their break up, however, reports began to surface that the real reason why Vonn ended their relationship was because of Woods' infidelity.

According to The Mirror, the Olympian couldn't continue with the relationship when Woods confessed that he allegedly cheated with a "faceless, nameless woman" sometime in February when he was eliminated at the Farmer's Insurance Classic golf event.

The golfer reportedly told Vonn about his indiscretion while the two attended a counseling session. Woods thought it would be better to be honest this time. However, his confession did not sit well with the Olympic skier who left him afterwards.

A source close to the matter told Daily Mail that Woods cheated as a way to get over the stress of being eliminated.

"Most men would drink over such losses. Tiger has sex over it. Usually with local hookers whom he pays exorbitant amounts to, probably so they will want repeat business and won't tell," revealed the insider.

"Yes, Tiger cheated again," the source added. "But it wasn't with anyone special. He really wanted Lindsey to be the one. But he blew it again. He can't help himself. He's got an addiction. He relapsed."

Woods have been receiving therapy for his "sex addiction" since his controversial divorce with Elin Nordegren. The golfer reportedly stopped attending the sessions, which caused the slip to happen and led to the end of his three-year relationship with Vonn.
