Justin Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette, is reportedly encouraging her son and his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Selena Gomez, to reunite.

According to HollywoodLife, Mallette believes that the young couple is meant to tie the knot one day.

"Some of [Justin's] people think [Selena] brings too much drama, but then he has people like his Hillsong group and even his mom that want him to marry Selena," a source revealed.

With that being said, the Canadian pop star and "The Heart Wants What It Wants" crooner recently sparked reconciliation rumors.

HollywoodLife reported that the two were spotted together backstage at the Hillsong Church on May 24.

An eyewitness claimed that Bieber and Gomez "didn't leave together," although they "seemed like they were cool with each other" during their recent encounter.

Just a few days later, the "Boyfriend" hitmaker and the "I Want You to Know" singer were videotaped while sitting right next to each other at a night chill session with their mutual friends.

One of the pals, Rich Wilkerson Jr., posted a Snapchat story of the pair hanging out together on May 27.

In addition, In Touch, via HollywoodLife alleged that the couple has secretly been hooking up since the "Baby" singer's 21st birthday in March, which happens to be right after the "Come & Get It" crooner's split from rumored beau Zedd.

"Justin had secretly been hooking up with Selena since his birthday," the publication reported. "They wanted to see if they could get back to a good place."

At the end of the day, Bieber supposedly wants to be on good terms with Gomez.

"They had so many good years together and so many special moments, he doesn't want to have bad blood," the source added.
