Samsung certainly made it ahead of Apple by launching the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2.

Engadget was one of the first who got their hands first on the latest tablet and made the first set of reviews for it. According to MacRumors, it weighs 1.66lbs with a 2560x1600 display specification with 247ppi. This makes the tablet way larger than Apple's iPad Air.

It comes with two variations with the Galaxy Note Pro that has the S Pen feature and the other which is the Galaxy Tab Pro that does not have the S Pen. However, both have the customized firmware and software of Samsung. The Korean tech company also introduced the other tablets from the same Galaxy Tab Pro series, in variation of 10.1 and 8.4 inch screens.

With PC Advisor UK's review, the initial aspect that is noticeable with the newest tablet on the block is its size. The review insists that reading its additional two inches may not be much but when the tablet gets to be actually in someone's hands, then the huge difference can surely be noticed. However just like Engadget's opinion, it is not suited to achieve "optimal portability."

The big tablet is easy to handle for everyone since it is nothing much different from the other Galaxy Note models. Hence, it was described as "a bigger version of the previous Notes." Samsung maintained its rear in leather make along with its clear LCD touchscreen and metallic rims.

David Court, the writer who made the review on the PC Advisor site, emphasized that actual usage of the Note Pro is efficient and navigating it is fast as it is ultra responsive to the user's touch.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 comes with 32GB and 64GB options but its software consumes about 6.5GB of the device's internal memory.
