Players of "Grand Theft Auto Online" are in for a treat during this Fourth of July weekend. Rockstar Games has recently confirmed the arrival of a limited-time update to the online game with the new Independence Day expansion pack that will see new weapons, vehicles and properties not lacking in patriotic flare.

Dubbed as "The Independence Day Special," the new update will bring with it not one but two vehicles that embody the American spirit, said a statement posted on Rockstar Game's official website.

The huge monster truck called, "Liberator," is a 4x4 vehicle that is almost invulnerable and can weave past any obstacle on its path including other automobiles. According to IGN, the truck's grip is very solid, allowing the vehicle to scale mountains and climb steep locations in an easy manner.

Access the truck in the single-player mode through the Garages. However, since it cannot be modified at the Los Santos Customs, players must be careful to ensue any damage as it can never be removed again.

For the biker-enthusiasts, the Western Sovereign Motorcycle is free in the single-player mode of the game. Those who want to access it online can purchase the big bike that is reminiscent of Captain America's own motorcycle.

Aside from the new vehicles, the Independence Day update will also bring a vintage-looking weapon as well as a firework launcher to the game for the first time.

The old-school musket, while very lethal and powerful, does not deviate from its original make that requires a few seconds to reload. So if the player prefers a faster weapon, then it might be best to veer away from this.

On the other hand, the Fireworks Rocket Launcher is a "single-rocket weapon that can fire lethal rounds with an explosion of color." It can cause damage to vehicles and other targets however, the effect is not immediate as it requires a few seconds to explode and show its power.

The new expansion pack will also open seven additional properties to the Dynasty 8 rolls. Two of these have been added to Vinewood Hills and Paleto Bay.

If regular amusement park festivities are what the player prefers, then the Independence Day Special also added the new "Pleasure Pier" where one can ride the Leviathan Roller Coaster or check out the city through the Ferris Whale.

The update will also see the inclusion of 17 new GTA Online Jobs players can use in the game with three of these as contract missions while the rest are available in the different game modes of "GTA Online."

The update is already available for download until the middle of the month although Rockstar has yet to announce a specific date when the update will expire.
