“The Hateful Eight,” Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie project, is coming to the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con International and will be giving the audience their first sneak peek into the film. With only less than a month before the much-awaited event, its film makers have decided to release a still image from the upcoming motion picture -- one that features Kurt Russell and Samuel L. Jackson.

The picture was posted on Entertainment Weekly and, apart from featuring Jackson and Russell, it also showcases the latter actor’s massive facial hair which nearly concealed his face.

"The Hateful Eight" is a story about eight gun slingers who are all trapped together in the snowy mountains of Wyoming. The characters, situated in a remote venue, find means to make a shelter that is stable enough for them as they wait for the blizzard to end.

“I can definitely say that, as bleak as our movie is, we are definitely the funniest snow Westerns ever made,” Tarantino told Entertainment Weekly. “This is funnier than ‘The Great Silence.’ It is funnier than ‘Day of the Outlaw,' funnier than ‘McCabe & Mrs. Miller.’”

Tarantino also shared that his concept for the movie project was largely inspired by classic Western TV shows. The audience has to wait for the entire episode to end before finding out whether or not the character in question is actually a good guy or a villain. Tarantino hopes to revolutionize this idea and adapt it to the silver screen via “The Hateful Eight.”

“So, I thought, ‘What if I did a story that was made up of nothing but those characters?’” Tarantino said. “So, there are no good guys. There is no little Joe.”

“The Hateful Eight” hits theaters on Christmas Day. Joining Russell and Jackson will be Jennifer Jason Leigh, Bruce Dern, Tim Roth, Demian Bichir, Walton Goggins, Michael Madsen, and Channing Tatum.

It remains unclear whether or not the entire cast will be part of the film’s Hall H panel, but another report on Entertainment Weekly confirms that Tarantino will be showcasing “The Hateful Eight” on July 11. His panel will be moderated by Chris Hardwick.

This is actually not the first time for Tarantino to be part of the annual Comic-Con event. In 2012, he was part of the San Diego Comic-Con International for “Django Unchained” with a Hall H panel that was comprised of Christoph Waltz, Kerry Washington, and Jamie Foxx.
