Who is the single best player in the NFL today?

That question will be answered next week on NFL Network's Top 100 player countdown on Wednesday night. So far we have counted down 90 players, and just 10 remain. Now, not only do 10 players remain in the running for the top spot, but four quarterbacks do as well.

Those four quarterbacks are Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck.

Let's breakdown each quarterback, and make the case on why each one should be the top player in the league.

Why Tom Brady is Best

Of course Brady is the best quarterback in the league. This previous season he won his fourth career Super Bowl. That's more than every other quarterback listed below, combined. Brady is as clutch as they come having won three Super Bowl MVP awards.

To put things into perspective, Manning led the Denver Broncos offense to just one touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl, while Brady threw for four touchdowns in the big game. Brady doesn't have elite wide receivers around him, but he just keeps making the most of his supporting cast.

Why Aaron Rodgers is Best

Rodgers has answered the "you can't replace Brett Favre" doubters with flying colors. Rodgers routinely finishes at the top of the league in passing yards, touchdowns and just about every passing statistic you could imagine. Rodgers has the single highest passer rating in NFL history, 106. He also beat and outplayed Brady last season in their regular season matchup.

Rodgers is better than Brady and Manning because of his mobility. He can extend plays in which Brady and Manning can only dream of. Rodgers has only thrown more than 11 interceptions once in a season, when he threw 13 back in 2008.

Why Peyton Manning is Best

If football is a mental game, then Manning is the dean and class in session. No quarterback in NFL history can operate the way Manning can at the line of scrimmage. Manning doesn't have a cannon of an arm, but his precise accuracy and pre-play audibles make him an all-time great.

While Luck plays in a terrible division, Rodgers has an All-Pro back to hand off to, Brady has maybe the best coach ever, Manning handles all operations of the Denver Broncos. Let's not forget he did just one year ago rewrite the record books with an incredible 55 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions.

Why Andrew Luck is Best

It's time for the older quarterbacks to step aside. The youth movement is here, and Andrew Luck is leading the way. Luck led all quarterbacks in touchdown passes last season with 40, all while throwing just 16 interceptions.

Luck has led the Indianapolis Colts to the postseason all three years of his career, and his running abilities are very underrated. Luck has accumulated 905 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground so far creating the ultimate dual threat. Luck doesn't benefit from having a great running back like Rodgers, but he still destroys opposing defenses.
