“Fallout 4” will be out to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC gamers on November 10, 2015, but new information has surfaced regarding this much awaited post-apocalyptic game. Although Bethesda is hard at work in this next major “Fallout” installment, its game developers are not the only ones who are preoccupied in preparing for the game’s official release.

Apparently, modders are working on the first known mod for “Fallout 4,” which has already been confirmed to be a customizable weapon.

Zealotlee, a Bethesda Forums user, is the modder responsible for this new weapon. “Fallout” gamers may recognize Zealotlee for the work that he has contributed to “Fallout 3": the adaptive combat rifle mod for the game. Apart from that, he has also contributed a lot to Project Nevada in “Fallout: New Vegas.”

Although the new “Fallout 4” mode from Zealotlee was already leaked, it is actually still in its early stages. The adaptive combat file mod has already been shaped but still needs its final textures applied.

Apart from making “Fallout 4” even more interesting to play, it will also add a fresh, new level of customization to the “Fallout” franchise, one that has never been featured in the core gaming series before, as pointed out by Game Rant.

Up until now, PC versions of “Fallout” have always had a bit of a gaming advantage over console variants of the exact same game. According to a Game Rant report from last month, fan-made mods have played a very huge role with regards to this outcome. When it comes to gaming mods, consoles have somehow been neglected, making them the lesser appealing choice.

Todd Howard of Bethesda wanted to remedy this situation and announced during this year’s E3 event that all of the mods applied to the PC variant of “Fallout 4” may also be applied to the Xbox One versions of the game.

It remains unclear precisely how modding will work on the Xbox One, but gamers speculate that it will turn out to a much easier and simpler feat as compared to how mods work on PC.

Now that Bethesda has allowed this to happen, gamers, who have been very interested in mods but just could not apply them due to certain circumstances, have the opportunity to test out something that they have always wanted to try.

That said, it is expected that loyal fans of the “Fallout” gaming franchise will want to come up with their own take on game add-ons before the game is officially launched to the public.
