Some of us tune into the Super Bowl to actually watch the game. Others tune in to watch the infamous advertisements -- some of which never even air.

The commercials that fail to make the cut -- and there are plenty of them -- are sometimes the best ones while others make us wonder how they even made it as far as they did. Today we will take a look at some of the best Super Bowl commercials that never were -- and you can vote!

What makes these so captivating is that Super Bowl commercials are so carefully designed because they are some of the most expensive clips ever aired on television. A 30 second commercial cost millions, and often times it quite literally pays off. Fans are known to put money on the game in any way imaginable -- the halftime show, the performers, the game, and yes, of course, the commercials.

1.    Considering that this commercial went on to win an Emmy for outstanding commercial, it is not too surprising that it has the top spot on this list. The "bleeps" really jump out as a distinctive sound when sitting around a Super Bowl party and it would have been perfect. Alas, it was rejected by CBS for the 2008 Super Bowl.

2.     Often times the commercials are banned because of what happens in the final seconds. This commercial is no exception, although perhaps there were some other parts of it that led to its ban. The most obvious part was middle finger at the end. What do you think about this one?

3.     This ad is completely political -- perhaps even more so about politics than it is about the particular brand that is being advertised. Obviously, a gun ad is going to generate plenty of talk from both sides of the debate.

These are just a few of the many Super Bowl advertisements that have been banned. You can find most of them on YouTube and around the web. Which advertisement is your favorite or least favorite? Let us know in the comments section below and vote in the poll!
