CBS's series "Under the Dome" has hit a series low in ratings and fans are now concerned about the future of the show.

According to the International Business Times, the show's executive producer, Tim Schlattman, made comments at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con about what fans can expect to see this season that led many to believe it may just be the show's last.

"We are answering all the questions ... by the end of the season," said Schlattman. "We threw a lot of stuff at you in the first two hours. By the end of the season, you will know everything. I usually don't use this language ... but things are gonna get bananas."

The questions Schlattman refers to are ones that viewers have had since the series, based off of Stephen King's novel of the same name, began. Questions like, Where did the dome come from? Why is it in Chester's Mill and who put it there?

Schlattman also made comments about the deaths happening in the show this season, which would mean an end to some beloved characters.

"Sometimes a series can have deaths that don't really mean anything," he said. "I think this season, these deaths are really going to matter."

Speculation about the future of the series was first ignited when executive producer Neal Baer made similar comments, before the start of the season, about the revelations to come, reported TVLine.

"We will tell you why the dome came down and what it's about," said Baer. "By the end of the season, you'll know exactly why this happened the way that it happened."

Ratings for the show, according to TV by the Numbers, have hit a very low point and, with the mystery of the dome about to be revealed, the series may not see or need another season.
