Disney has revealed the slate of movies that will be featured in next month's D23 Expo.

The studio owed the viewing public a grand showcase after it didn't make noise in the recently concluded San Diego Comic Con.

Marvel was missing in action. Although, Lucasfilm was at the event, their delegation was a reunion party than a film exposition. According to Deadline News, Disney had something up their sleeves. Why share the limelight when they can have an event all for their own?

Fans of the superhero genre will have their first glimpse of "Captain America: Civil War" during the D23 Expo. Chris Evans will reprise his role as the dashing super soldier in this slugfest of a film. Comic book fans will not have to wait any longer for this blockbuster offering from Disney and Marvel as the event will run from Aug. 14 to 16 in Anaheim, California.

From official cast announcements, Iron Man, The Falcon, Vision, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow, War Machine, Hawkeye, and possibly Ant-Man will be among the superhero ensemble.

As if that won't be enough, "Civil War" will mark the Marvel Cinematic Universe debut of Black Panther and a certain friendly neighborhood teenager.

Highly anticipated movies that will also be teased include "Alice Through the Looking Glass," Pixar's "The Good Dinosaur" and "Finding Dory."

Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar presentations will have surprise announcements, musical numbers, and interactions with star voice talents on the first day of the event. Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter will act as the presentations' host.

A day after, special guests are rumored to appear at the preview of the live-action projects at a "Worlds, Galaxies, and Universes: Live Action at The Walt Disney Studios" panel headed by Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn.

Lucasfilm brought "The Force Awakens" earlier this month at Comic Con, showing behind-the-scenes reel. Amazing as it was, it left fans wanting for more - and they will get more at the D23 Expo. Sci-fi followers will significantly quench their Star Wars thirst since another trailer for "The Force Awakens" is expected to debut at the event.

"Frozen Fandemonium: A Musical Celebration!" is scheduled on the last day of the D23 Expo. Walt Disney Music Head, Chris Montan, will host the extravaganza. He will be joined by Oscar-award winning songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. The one-day performance will take the audience to a once-in-a-lifetime musical journey through the world of "Frozen." Characters from the successful animated full length feature will be present to take part in sing-along activities.

The original Mickey Mouse Club will also reunite at the D23 Expo. You can scan through the hour-by-hour schedule of events here.
