Eminem could be in line for an "honorary member" spot with N.W.A. should the legendary group make good on all the reunion chatter now making the rounds.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that with the release of the flick "Straight Outta Compton," chronicling the group's historic rise, just around the corner there's plenty of buzz about a potential tour. And in recent weeks, several members from the group have already reunited on stage.

Now comes word the actual studio behind the film is interested in launching an official tour in Europe. All the surviving members of the group, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, DJ Yella and MC Ren, would be part of the mix with Eminem potentially thrown in for a little added flair.

"We don't have anything settled yet with everyone's schedule, but we think it can create a lot of buzz," said Universal Chief Donna Langley. Presumably, Eminem would take the spot of original member Eazy-E who died 20 years ago from complications from AIDS.

The bestselling rapper of all time, Eminem launched his career under the guidance of Dr. Dre, who has gone on to become one of the music industry's most successful business moguls and once lent credibility to Eminem's rising status as a white rapper playing to mostly black audiences.

N.W.A. won a widespread audience with their classic 1988 hit "F**k tha Police," which enraged politicians with its sobering indictment of many white officers and their uneven treatment of young African-American men.

Ice Cube also went on to have a hugely successful solo career and last month he reunited with former bandmates Ren and Yella for a one-off reunion show in Los Angeles for Black Entertainment Television. Dr. Dre last performed with the group during the 2000 "Up in Smoke" Tour across North America, which also featured Eminem.
