Now that Davina has been appointed as regent of the witches of New Orleans, she could end up being the Mikaelson brothers' biggest nightmare when "The Originals" returns with Season 3.

While speaking at San Diego Comic-Con, actress Danielle Campbell opened up about what fans can expect from Davina in the new season.

When asked if Davina will be intimidated by the new sire vampires that will come to New Orleans, Campbell responded that Davina is "not afraid of anybody. She is really strong. She has been through so much, and it has made her stronger."

The actress added that Davina will step up to the plate now that she has been named the queen of the witches.

"This year, especially with her new role as regent, she has to be strong for her people," Campbell said. "She has to do what's best for them, and I think that's going to force her to make decisions that she's uncomfortable with, but at the end of the day, she's going to need to figure out how to make her people respect her and understand her and she's going to struggle with that."

Campell also dropped hints that there will be conflict between Davina and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) in the upcoming season.

"She's always actively plotting to take down Klaus," said the series star, adding that Davina is even more angry with him because he took away her last chance to bring back Kol (Nathaniel Buzolic), whom she really loved.

Nonetheless, Davina will try to find a way to bring Kol back and continue to "focus and put her energy into helping her people."

The new season of "The Originals" will premiere on The CW come Thursday, Oct. 8.
