There may be another duo whose relationship is in trouble aside from Major and Liv in "iZombie" once it returns on Oct. 6 for season 2.

Ex-fiancées Major (Robert Buckley) and Liv (Rose McIver) had a huge tension as seen on last season's finale, after Major learned that Liv became a zombie via Blaine's (David Anders) scratch. To make matters worse, in order to save him, Liv turned him into a zombie, who craves brains like her. Major felt betrayed by Liv's dishonesty. Although Liv injected him with the last vial of cure and Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) created to turn him back into a human, he may still be mad at her.

Meanwhile, Major may also not like hanging around with Ravi, who happened to be his beloved roommate, after learning that Ravi knew Liv's secret, too. A Twitter mini-clip teased by Kohli showed that there could be real friction between the "RaJor" best friends.

It was very understandable for Major to feel angry about what he had been through. When he first discovered that there could be zombies in their area, Liv and Ravi did not admit that this phenomenon was actually happening. Rather, they let him check himself in a mental hospital to get treated. That was one big event he probably felt most cheated by these two people whom he trusted much.

Yet, Major and Liv's relationship could still be revived, as teased by the show's executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright.

Ruggiero-Wright told Hollywood Life that the former engaged couple could still be an item next season.

"There better be! How could you not? We lucked out when we cast Lowell (Bradley James), because he can compete with Buckley and the Major character. I really think that there is potential for them... If they end, they end and then they get back together, it'll be for a good reason. There's hope, definitely," Ruggiero-Wright revealed.

Thus, it is possible for Major and Ravi to also fix their relationship as friends.

Also, they need to be united more than ever, especially because there's a potential greater villain coming into The CW series. According to TV Fanatic, Robert Knepper, known for his remarkable bad guy roles in "Heroes" and "Prison Break," will join the cast for season 2 as Blaine's dad.

Meanwhile, "Roswell" actor Steve Hytner may also guest next season as teased by Kohli on his Twitter post. Will he be a friend scientist to help them find a cure, as hinted on him wearing a white laboratory coat?
