As if things couldn't get any darker for the long running horror series "Supernatural" on the CW, the new trailer for Season 11 just revealed that the new level of scares has elevated, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

One thing that hasn't happened yet on the show is the proven existence of God. In the trailer, the new season will start tackling that topic like never before.

Although God has never been proven to exist on the show yet, there have been several instances where they have alluded to his existence. Even the prophet Chuck (Rob Benedict) was thought to be the holiest of the holy at one point. But until now, there has never been any concrete evidence of his existence.

The trailer for season 11 opens up with a prayer by Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki), who is seen bloody and nearly broken. His prayer goes directly to the big man himself. Sammy and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have gone through their journeys of fighting evil forces pretty much alone, or for the most part without asking God for help, through the past 10 seasons of the show.

All that is about to change with the introduction of the Darkness now and Sammy seems to be leading the new charge to find God.

But even more applause can be raised for the season considering Sam and Dean will now be back to the cohesive team unit they have long been without.

"It's been a while since we've seen Sam and Dean in a good place," Padalecki told THR. "And this year they're going to be facing The Darkness together head-on, and I think the fans are really going to love that."

The dark relationship between the two siblings has been a major theme of the past several seasons and now, they finally find the peace between each other that has long since been lacking.
