Fans of Visceral Games' current generation first-person shooting game will be glad to know that a new DLC pack will be arriving this week.

According to the official "Battlefield" Twitter account, the game's second expansion pack will launch on Sept. 16.

However, only premium members of "Battlefield Hardline" can grab hold of "Robbery" upon its release. Visceral Games, under the supervision of Electronic Arts, introduced "Battlefield Hardline Premium" last March. The program lets its members have early access to new "Battlefield Hardline" features and contents.

"'Battlefield Hardline Premium' members will enjoy four new super features - Masks, Gun Bench, Competitive Play, and Legendary Status - as well as two weeks early access to four story-themed digital expansion packs. In addition, members will receive monthly rewards and access to exclusive in-game events and items that ensure players execute heists and roll into high-speed chases in style," EA earlier explained.

With regards to what fans can expect from the "Robbery" expansion pack, the official website of "Battlefield Hardline" has listed the following features:

  •  Four expansive maps: The Docks, Break Pointe, Museum, and Precinct 7
  •  New 5v5 game mode: Squad Heist
  •  Four new weapons
  •  Two new gadgets
  •  Two new fictional vehicles and new vehicle upgrades
  •  New camos and vehicle paints
  •  The Legendary Super Feature

The "Battlefield" series has been known for its military warfare gameplay. However, "Battlefield Hardline" broke the trend this year with its emphasis on crimes and heists. The "Robbery" expansion pack adds to the law-breaking component of the game with the new "Squad Heist" mode.

In "Squad Heist," a team of robbers must successfully flee with their loot as a pack of cops try to foil their plans. Upholding the core principles of the "Battlefield" series, cooperation is key in the new mode. Teams are only given 25 deploy tickets at the start of their "Squad Heist" campaign. When criminals deplete all their deploy tickets, the cops win the match.

"Squad Heist" comes in three stages:

  1. Criminals take a Drill, break into Vault 1 and grab the loot from the vault.
  2. Criminals take a Drill, break into Vault 2 and grab the loot from the vault.
  3. Criminals run to an escape location, call a helicopter and get the loot to safety.

"Squad Heist was a blast to develop, and we think it goes well with the new gadgets, weapons, and maps in 'BattlefieldTM Hardline: Robbery.' Playing it every day, it really feels like we've found something special," the game's official website reported.
