Square Enix previously promised their fans a reboot of their popular game "Hitman" that was supposedly due in December. However, things have changed recently after they retracted their earlier announcement.

According to Windows Central, Square Enix initially scheduled the release date of "Hitman" on Dec. 8 with few conditions such as fewer content and additional ones when the game's DLC packs are finally released. Now, "Hitman" is being pushed back from its original launch date, citing March 2016 as the replacement date.

In a statement given by the publisher, it said, "These few extra months will mean we can add more to the launch content of the game, more than what we originally planned, and then follow with a tighter frequency of updates, which ultimately will create a better game for everyone. And in the end, it's what we're all looking for."

The developer of the game IO Interactive also believes that they need more time to put more and detailed content on the game before they can confidently launch it. IO Interactive also admitted that "Hitman," being one of their biggest projects yet, should get the best of what the studio can give.

"Hitman" still needs development in terms of its patches and playable area. The ambitious project may seem sparse at the moment, leading to the delay of its launch, but its developer is fully aware of the things needed to be fixed.

The publisher and developer of the game expressed their sincere apologies over the much-awaited game's delayed launch date. They stated, "Moving a launch date is never an easy decision, we know it's frustrating to have to wait a bit longer for the game, but we truly believe it will mean we can deliver a better launch and overall experience."

The developer also claims that in order to cater to the fans' needs, they are treading the zones of its playable area looking for the best way to develop it. IO Interactive wants nothing more than the best gaming experience for their fans. By adding few more months on their schedule, they are confident that even its DLC packs will be made ready and abundant in content.

According to Attack of the Fan Boy, "Hitman" will also use a new kind of "release type model," whatever that is, and fans will have to wait for March 2016 for the full details. Square Enix's "Hitman" will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC gaming platforms.
