A&E started airing the first season of Bates Motel last March. Back then, the first season was full of mystery and surprises and the show developed a strong following. The series is all about exploring the weird behavior of a teenage boy named Norman Bates. Bates Motel season 1 has been nominated for a list of awards and earned awards for the best actress in a drama, the best actor in a drama, best horror series, and best new TV series.

After such a well-received first season of Bates Motel, it is finally back. A&E has released the Bates Motel second season on March 3, 2014. So after waiting for so long to find out whether Norman killed Miss Watson, we finally reached the second season of Bates Motel on Monday night.

The new season is going to be full of mystery and will explore the disturbing relationship of a son Norman Bates and his mother Norma. Freddie Highmore, who is now studying at Cambridge University in his final year, is playing Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga plays Norman's mother Norma.

The new season will also add a girl in the love-triangle of Bradley, Norman and Emma. She will be a girl who Norma can't stand. In season 2, the town of White Pine Bay will become a major place on the show. The whole drug world will open up this season. Another new character in season 2 is Michael O'Neill as Ford. He is acting as the father of the late Miss Watson and he is the head of a rival drug family. There are a number of other suspects that we will see throughout the season.

A&E's brilliant drama series Bates Motel will receive its UK premiere on Universal Channel on Wednesday, April 2 at 9 p.m.
