Peyton is back in Seattle and she still cares for her old roommate and best friend, Liv, as seen on the third episode of "iZombie" this season two, titled "Real Dead Housewife of Seattle." The episode also showed how Major's life is spiralling down.

Will Peyton be Liv's BFF Again?

Liv (Rose McIver) and Ravi (Rahl Kohli) found out Peyton is returning to Seattle via a news on TV, wherein the DA announced that Peyton will lead a task force on the utopium drug, Comic Book noted.

Peyton was able to make amends with Ravi for just leaving after knowing the truth about Liv's secret identity last season. However, despite them being able to patch things up, shippers for these two fun characters must have to patiently wait for the right time for them to be together.

Showrunner Rob Thomas revealed on Collider that they will not be a couple anytime soon, especially with the two focusing their energy on their important missions — Peyton on the utopium task force and Ravi on creating the zombie cure again.

"We made the decision that when Peyton comes back, they won't fall into a relationship because they're both going in different directions," Thomas said.

Yet, even though Peyton may not have a romantic turn with Ravi, fans surely hope she and Liv will be BFFs again especially that Peyton remembered her birthday and even gave her a cake.

Major is going down

The episode showed how Liv's ex-fiance, Major (Robert Buckley), killed a seemingly good zombie just to remain committed to his mission of killing Seattle's zombies, as directed by Max Rager's executive Vaughn Du Clark (Steven Weber). Major also made out with Gilda, Liv's new roommate, after taking utopium.

Thomas shared on Collider that he will eventually hit rock bottom, and hopefully he bounces back from this.

The wealthy dead housewife case

Liv and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) investigated the murder of a high-profile wife Taylor. It was revealed that the socialite's stylist planned it all so that she could marry the husband, Terrance Fowler, Comic Book noted. Terrance, a board member of the Max rage company, was killed by a zombie in the episode after confronting Clark about his affair with Taylor.

The episode was able to connect everything to everyone, like what Thomas intended, per a Comic Book Resources article in August.

"Last year we would break a murder case first and then figure out what are the other stories going on...this year is we are kind of starting with all the other things going on in the episode and then finding a murder case that fits those," Thomas said.
