Even the wilderness is no match for Lara Croft. In a new series of videos called "Woman vs. Wild", players will get to glimpse the harrowing struggle of survival that's in place in "Rise of the Tomb Raider".

According to a report from Games Radar, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics produced a three-part video series to show off the different scenarios that players will have to face in the upcoming action adventure game.

The first four-minute clip in the collection is called "Harsh Environments," highlighting the perilous wilderness that stands between the heroine and the secret of immortality that she hopes to find deep in the heart of Siberia.

"Early in the expedition, Lara is caught in an avalanche separating her from her friend Jonah, leaving her without proper survival gear," the voiceover explained the background of the plot. "Armed with only a pick ax and her wits, Lara must scavenge for supplies and overcome a beautiful but hostile environment in order to beat Trinity to the lost city of Kitezh."

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" follows the story of Lara as she reels from Trinity discrediting her in public. Determined to beat the ruthless organization in its search for the secret of immortality, Lara traverses the Siberian wild and pushes her limits in a way she's never before.

The video shows the harsh climates and dangerous predators that are lurking in the wasteland. Bears, wolves and deer will be challenging obstacles, and players will have to be resourceful as they engage in combat and collect supplies. Hunting can also be useful as it provides the players materials for necessary upgrades to weapons and gears.

Hub spaces will also be an important part of Lara's journey, with more expansive grounds than the franchise's previous games. Players can decide to explore challenge tombs and accept missions from locals to earn access to new areas, items and abilities.

Trinity remains a very real danger for Lara, and the next episode of "Woman vs. Wild" will show her "outgunned and outnumbered" in a battle against her rival organization to reach the elusive Kitezh first.

In a previous report from Latin Post, head of Product Development and Western Studios Darrell Gallagher offered a few words on Tumblr to mark the upcoming game going gold earlier this month.

"With the game development now complete we are excited to share this incredible next chapter in Lara's journey as she continues her growth into the ultimate action adventure icon, and accepts her destiny to become the Tomb Raider," he said.

"Rise of the Tomb Raider" for Xbox One and Xbox 360 is slated for release on Nov. 10. The PC version of the game will be released early next year while the PlayStation 4 will be out in holiday 2016.
