Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis has acquired a luxury home in Los Angeles right after her divorce.

De Laurentiis, whose culinary expertise dazzled her way into the hearts of millions of her viewers, buys a Pacific Palisades property for $6 million, TMZ broke the news. The outlet noted that the chef picked a 1920s Spanish-inspired residence, as her new home. The abode reportedly once belonged to legendary swing musician Benny Goodman, famous for playing "Sing Sing Sing" on clarinet, per BennyGoodman.com.

The property's listing on Realtor.com described it as "nestled on a quiet, tree-lined street in the coveted Palisades Riviera." The nearly 5,000-square-foot residence features five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. The two-story house resting on 0.3 acres of California lot also includes a two-car garage, family room, living room and formal dining room.

The high-profile cook will enjoy the kitchen that showcases high-end appliances and amenities like a dishwasher, dryer, freezer, refrigerator, microwave oven and range. The cooking area also comes with a kitchen island that will make it convenient for De Laurentiis to create scrumptious meals.

The 45-year-old Italian chef will also find her master suite very relaxing as it comes with a bathroom with heated floors. The suite also offers a huge walk-in closet to accommodate all her stylish clothes and accessories she needs for her job.

The Los Angeles home has an elegant ambiance, as seen on the photos and as noted on the listing. These amazing details include soaring ceilings, classy furnishing, hardwood flooring, curving staircase with wrought iron accents, floor-to-ceiling windows, ornate chandeliers and recessed lighting.

Apart from the main house, there is also a spacious guest house for De Laurentiis' visiting relatives or close friends to stay for a couple of days. However, she will still have to renovate it as it is said to be set up as a music studio.

The grounds also display a swimming pool and a patio.

New home, fresh start

De Laurentiis is officially divorced with fashion designer Todd Thompson, whom she wed 11 years ago, People informed in September. It was in July where the former couple decided to part ways amicably, per De Laurentiis' announcement via Facebook.

Thompson reportedly gets to live in the pair's $3.2 million Pacific Palisades home and shares custody with their seven-year-old daughter Jade Marie.

Thus, finding a new abode in the area will not only give De Laurentiis a fresh start, she will also let her daughter remain close to both her parents.
