Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett told reporters that the team won't be giving any disciplinary actions on defensive Greg Hardy for a sideline incident that happened in their game against the New York Giants, per ESPN. The Cowboys eventually lost the game 27-20, dropping them to the last place in the NFC East standings.

Hardy confronted special-teams coach Rich Bisaccia and a couple of his teammates, including injured star wide receiver Dez Bryant. According to Dallas Morning News, the defensive end's frustration was due to the 100-yard kick-return touchdown by the Giants' Dwayne Harris that became the game-winning score.

Coach Garrett appeared as a guest on CBS Radio Dallas 105.3 THE FAN and explained the whole situation. "That was just a situation where guys are trying to encourage and inspire other guys on their team. He was fired up and wanted to make sure that the special-teams unit was going to get the job done," Garrett said as quoted by ESPN.

The coach noted that Hardy's outburst was not at the right time or place, but he has already talked to the player. Members of the Cowboys organization, including owner Jerry Jones, also downplayed the incident after the game, per Dallas Morning News.

"He's just getting guys ready to play in my view. I don't have any issue with him being involved in motivating or pushing in any part of the football team because he plays and walks the walk," the owner said.

Biscassia and Bryant, who were both involved in the scuffle, also gave their thoughts about it after the game. "He wanted to get in there and get them fired up. It was just not the right time. It's really not an issue," the special-teams coach told Dallas Morning News.

"There is no issue. That's just football. People want to make nothing into something, especially when we lose. That's just football," Bryant told Josina Anderson on Twitter.

After the game, the 27-year-old DE was asked by reporters in the locker room. He channeled his inner Marshawn Lynch as he replied a bunch of "no comments" on most of the questions, per ESPN.

The report added to the controversies surrounding Hardy this season as he posted an insensitive tweet about the 9/11 attacks in the offseason. He also made some remarks about guns and Tom Brady's wife, Giselle Bundchen last Oct. 6.

He was also suspended in the first four games of the season due to a domestic violence charge last February. The suspension was supposedly for 10 games, but an arbiter reduced it to four last July 10, per Cowboys Blog.
