"By the Sea" actor Brad Pitt recently opened up about how he views his wife Angelina Jolie and how she has been a sexy director for their latest dramatic film, which will hit theaters this November. In Pitt's latest cover for V Magazine, he reveals the most intimate details about working with his wife.

Pitt graced the cover of V Magazine for its November issue, where he talked about working with his real-life partner as a co-star and a director for the film "By the Sea." According to Pitt, the film, which is about a married couple who's struggling in their relationship, is a good project for Brangelina.

"It was probably not the wisest way to spend a honeymoon," the 51-year-old actor said as quoted by The Daily Mirror. "But then again, fighting to make something together...what better metaphor for marriage?"

Pitt further revealed how he really wanted to work with Jolie in the film. "We, by our own admission, we're overdue. If I'm going to work, I want to work with my wife," he said as quoted by The Daily Mirror adding, "Surprising how much I enjoy the direction of my wife. She's decisive, incredibly intuitive, knife-sharp, and I might say, sexy at her post. I trust her with my life."

Meanwhile, Jolie also spoke of how she was able to be successful in directing the film in her latest cover for Vogue magazine for its November issue. "This is the only film I've done that is completely based on my own crazy mind," she told Vogue.

"By The Sea" is seemingly circulated with deep relationship issues between Pitt and Jolie's characters. Pitt also revealed how it is different from their previous collaboration, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," as "By the Sea" takes a realistic approach, a mature and quiet look in the challenges of relationships according to Pitt.

"'By the Sea' deals with that period when the honeymoon is well over and the couple is faced with the banality of every day and the pains of the unplanned," Pitt said as quoted by the Daily Mirror.

Both Jolie and Pitt also revealed how the film was challenging for them as actors. Jolie disclosed to Vogue that she and husband Pitt wanted to do something out of their comfort zones. "Just being raw actors. It's not the safest idea. But life is short," she said.

"By the Sea" premieres this Nov. 13 for U.S. theaters.
