The upcoming episode of “Quantico” reveals some steamy scenes from the past that may complicate Alex’s (Priyanka Chopra) search for the truth.

A teaser for Episode 6 of Season 1, titled “God,” shows Alex making out in a shower with Ryan (Jake McLaughlin), who is then shown feeling tortured over whether he should share a dangerous truth with her.

“Quantico” averages around 8.8 million viewers and is a big hit for ABC.

A huge part of the success comes from the charm and charisma of Indian actress Chopra, who plays an FBI trainee turned terrorist suspect.

In an interview with USA Today, Chopra talked about her commitment to her work and her identification with her character.

“She's absolutely bold, brazen, says whatever she thinks, is fearless, and I guess, something every girl hopes that she can be," Chopra said.

"Alex wasn't written for an Indian girl, for sure," added the former Miss World, whose participation on the series actually led the writers to rework the character’s background.

The 33-year-old actress feels she has a deep understanding of Alex’s motivations, saying, "I think she just felt like nobody would understand what she was going through. And I get that."

Like the character she plays, Chopra’s father died an untimely death. The actress says she used that tragedy to motivate her to work.

"I just went in and worked almost 18-hour days. That was my way of dealing with my grief, and that's how I identified with Alex. It was hiding vulnerability: making yourself so tired that you don't have to think before going to bed," the actress said.

Chopra’s work ethic has led her to shoot for a worldwide audience.

"I want to be able to tell stories globally, entertain globally. Hopefully, this is a step in that direction," she added.

“Quantico” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
