The bad news: the Star Wars Episode 7 logo that was supposed to be "official" turned out to be a fan-made creation. The good news: we saw a spoiler-heavy preview of Episode 7 on last night's episode of Dancing with the Stars!

First, let's talk about the Logo Seen 'Round The World: according to The Epoch Times, the logo was created by Cedric Mengual and posted on his Twitter a few days ago. With the nature of the Internet being what it is, it wasn't long before the blogs picked it up -- including The Ramses Project, who snidely remarked "So this is a thing now. It's a stupid thing to boot."

The logo featured the "T" in "Star Wars" stylized as a number "7," and the reason many people thought it was "official" is because it featured a Disney and Lucasfilm logo on the bottom.

The official Star Wars Twitter quickly disabused The Ramses Project, and other Star Wars fans, of the notion that the logo was official: "Don't worry, it's fan-made & definitely not official," they wrote. OUCH!

Meanwhile, last night on Dancing with the Stars -- which is aired on the ABC network, which is of course owned by Disney, which is putting out the new Star Wars film -- Billy Dee Williams gave a sneak peek of what we can expect on Episode 7: an aged Lando Calrissian dancing the cha-cha with C-3PO as Stormstroopers and R2-D2 look on. (Hey, their guess is as good as anyone else's, at this point...)

In May 2013, it was confirmed that the production of Episode VII would take place in the United Kingdom. The producers plan to use Pinewood Studios in England for studio shooting. Beginning in September 2013, production spaces in the Bad Robot facility were converted for shooting of Episode VII, for the benefit of shooting a minor portion of the film in the United States.
