When it comes to the new "Star Wars" film, not even George Lucas is in the loop about what fans can expect. But being who he is, the franchise creator had one specific question for director J.J. Abrams about the new film.

According to an article on Entertainment Weekly, and as published in video form by Vanity Fair, Abrams did an online Q&A session via a tablet that had pre-recorded questions asked of the director by famous personalities across the fandom universe, which pretty much eclipses all other fandoms.

But what was especially intriguing about the video is that Lucas made an appearance in it and wanted to know a little more about the family that he icreated. It almost seemed like a surreal moment, as if a divorced father who had been estranged from his children for years has finally came back into the picture and wanted to know about their lives.

Lucas' question was straight to the point though.

"J.J., what happened to Darth Vader's grandchildren?" Lucas asked in the video via the iPad tablet Abrams was holding out for the world to see.

Abrams had one of those smiles on his face that seemed to convey that he himself was a little taken aback by Lucas' surprise appearance on the screen.

"Oh, George, this is great." Abrams said in the clip, "You tell me man. You made all this sh** up."

It was one of those responses that seemed to come from the new stepfather, as if he somehow filled the old father's shoes. It appeared to strike him in a dumbfounded way, which he seemed a little uncomfortable answering at the moment, as if he would say the wrong thing to someone who many fans consider a demi-God.

Nevertheless, Abrams went on to answer everyone's questions without really giving anything away.
