"WWE SmackDown" completed its latest television taping, but the roster had several notable absences.

With most of the top names traveling to WWE's European tour, "SmackDown" taped without WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day and Divas Champion Charlotte. Roman Reigns also went to the European tour, but Dean Ambrose, thankfully, stayed for the main event.

The show opened with United States Champion Alberto Del Rio and Zeb Colter. After delivering a promo, Del Rio went on to fight Neville in a non-title match. Definitely living up to the heel persona, Del Rio defeated Neville, and he continued to attack him after the match. Jack Swagger then appeared to save Neville.

In tag-team competition, The Usos defeated The Ascension.

The wrestling continued as "SmackDown" had its own Survivor Series Elimination Match. The Wyatt Family went against The Lucha Dragons and The Prime Time Players. Of course, the WWE is building The Wyatt Family for the "Survivor Series" pay per view, since their current storyline involves The Undertaker and Kane. The Wyatts swept the match and defeated all four opponents.

Although a portion of the roster traveled to Europe, King Barrett apparently did not go on the trip. He instead lost his match against Ryback.

In divas competition, Natalya returned to her winning ways by defeating Tamina Snuka.

The main event featured what is likely the making of Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens' next feud: Owens vs. Dean Ambrose. Owens won by selling a low blow, which got Ambrose disqualified. Afterwards, Ambrose went to attack Owens, but the intercontinental champ retreated into the crowd. The show ended with Ambrose in the ring.

"WWE SmackDown" airs weekly on Thursdays at 8 p.m ET on SyFy.
