Featherweight reacts to the Los Angeles raids against undocumented immigrants

Mexican artist Peso Pluma posted a powerful message in support of migrant communities and against the raids carried out by ICE immigration agents in Los Angeles .

In a statement posted on their Instagram account, Peso Pluma , Hassan Emilio Labaije and his management companies, Prajin Parlay and his record label Doble P Records, said they were "heartbroken by what is happening in Los Angeles and across the country."

The artist and his team released their text after three days of resistance in Southern California against the arrests of undocumented immigrants, including farm workers, which have sparked clashes in the streets of downtown Los Angeles and spread to other cities across the country such as Seattle, Chicago, and New York.

"As children of immigrants and immigrants ourselves, we know this struggle firsthand. We know the strength it takes to build a life, to sacrifice everything for a better future, and to keep going even when everything is against us," continues the text, which was published in English.

We are deeply heartbroken by what is happening in Los Angeles and across the country. This country was built by our ancestors, hardworking immigrants who came here to build a better life for us.

The raids, the fear, the separation of families... it's painful to witness, and even more painful to know that many of us live in constant uncertainty. As children of immigrants and immigrants ourselves, we know this struggle firsthand. We know the strength it takes to build a life, to sacrifice everything for a better future, and to keep going even when everything is against us.
