Chinese mobile maker Vivo recently released a new ad teasing the upcoming X6's fingerprint scanning technology.

According to the teaser, as translated by GizmoChina, the sensor is said to include 360-degree finger rotation capability. Furthermore, it allows users to not only unlock the device but also to make mobile payments like Samsung Pay and Apple Pay.

The ad is the latest teaser in Vivo's extensive promotional campaign for the X6. Just last week, Vivo confirmed through another teaser that the handset will be equipped with 4GB of RAM while having support for 4G connectivity.

Vivo posted the teaser on its official Weibo page. G for Games reported that the animated image shows more apps could fit in 4GB of RAM, boosting multitasking performance in the process.

Apart from the aforementioned specs, other reported details about the X6 remain to be unconfirmed rumors. One rumor claimed that the X6 will have 16GB of dedicated video RAM like discrete GPUs in modern gaming PCs.

"There are two types of graphic processors: discrete and integrated. A discrete GPU (short for graphic processor unit) means that there is a separate processor for anything related to graphic work whereas an integrated GPU means that it shares resources with the CPU to do graphic work," explained Kylera on TabletPCReview.

As of the moment, most smartphones share their ration of RAM between its CPU and GPU.

There is also an unconfirmed report suggesting that the X6 will be powered by MediaTek's 10-core Helio X20 chipset. To put the Helio X20's firepower in perspective, a handset fitted with the said SoC tallied 73,075 points on a benchmark test conducted by AnTuTu. By comparison, the Exynos 7420-powered Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge barely scratched the 70,000 mark, as per GSM Arena.

Lastly, there is a not-so-official YouTube video featuring the X6 and the iPhone 6s Plus. It showed the X6 launching apps at a slightly faster response time compared to the latest iOS device. Note that video was shot in the dark and only the duo's screens are visible up until the very last second. The X6 seemed to be wrapped with duct tape, probably to hide its design.

The X6 could turn out to be a powerful flagship, but we still need to look into more details on its processor and camera to know for sure. We'll just keep you posted.
